"Cold December"

The wind suddenly begins to bring the chills and all of a sudden, colorful lights and brilliant decoration in different colors appear in every household. People rushing to the market to buy gifts and food. You start to hear groups of people singing familar songs that come out ones every end of the year. Its coming and it has finally arrive. Christmas is here.

The joy of Christmas is seeing people giving and sharing the love and joy with everybody. Seeing smiles in faces of children receiving gifts. Happy and relaxing fill the air. Songs are sang with energy that makes everyone hearing it uplifted and warm. For centuries we have been celebrating this occasion. But the real essence of christmas is slowly fading. Changing as the years pass.

We sing christmas hymns and songs but do we really put to our heart what we sing?? Because in this times, the essence of this songs are slowly fading. These songs are made to honor the messiah, Jesus Christ in the time of his birth. These songs were made to praise him. Song that are sung this days are just a mere shell of what we truly sing. We must understand the meaning of it and why we sing it. It is called the spirit of christmas. It includes everything that we do, from giving gifts to sharing the love. The necessary thing to do to obtain this, is to do this straight from the heart. A pure heart that never doubts and knows the true essence of this season.

In our own little way, share this spirit of christmas with everybody. It is what God wants and He would truly be happy that we celebrate this season with His Son in the center of our hearts. As we celebrate it with all our friends and love ones...

There's a lot of activities that was done in our school like kiteflying, poster making, tagis talino, cookfest and the SAYAWIT!!!We all participated in this different competitions and for me,SAYAWIT is the main event because we prepared a lot in this contest. We practice well and we do our best just to win. There are nine competitors and we are entry #7.They also had the mechanics and one of that is the time limit where it should not be exceed in 6 mins.but unfortunately, we exceeded 5 seconds. When they announced the winner,we are the third placer BUT...in the result,we tied between Becquerel but because of that 5 seconds, our rank went down.We accept it and we're very thankful because the judges didn't agree to disqualified us
Better luck nextime but there's no other nextime .aaahhh....so sad:(
But inspite of our defeat,we congratulate all the winners.
KEEP IT UP!!!

My Teacher-My hero

Our second parents, our mentors, our advisers, our beloved teachers....our hero.

Teaching is a profession that is very challenging. No matter how hard it is, they doing their best to teach us the best that they can. In this profession, there is always a responsibility. Responsibility in teaching us, as well as for our safety. If the school is our second home then......teacher is our second parent. It is their duty to discipline us, protect, teach, care and also to love us. Like parents, they are also scolding their sons and daughters if they commit mistakes. This is the only way to discipline us although it hurts, they must do this for our own good and they never planned to hurt us just because they like but it's because they want us to be a better man.

We thank you for molding us in the best way you could. For the knowledge, for the care, advise, and specially for your love. I salute you and you deserve to be a model not only to us but to all the people arround us and you deserve to call OUR HERO. My teacher-my hero. Thak you and we love you..!!

Adapting to Diverse Science Culture for Development

Science, ever since its beginning, has provided us boundless possibilities for our benefit. For long it has served us and improved our way of life. With science, everything was being questioned. Everyone began exploring everything that can be perceived. Those once fascinations and mysteries that left us in awe were slowly being dumped in by new knowledge that is more reasonable. Slowly, our view of the world was changing.
Since its birth, science has become a basis for understanding, and it has proved to be useful in our daily life. Discovery after discovery, breakthrough after breakthrough, each has contributed in our unending attempt to rid of all those questions that boggled our minds. And with science, we were able to take a giant leap forward, and began inventing gadgets and machines, propagate crops, study diseases, discover elements, etc. Everything made for our benefit. Technological age dawned upon us. But in the midst of all those triumphs, there was a dark side. Technology, or rather science in the broader context, not only created possibilities for us, but also problems.
Waste products, pollutants, and other end results were increasing at an accelerating rate. Management of these wastes were taken for granted, and it was too late when man began to show concern for these problems. It was all around us, and it has contaminated our surroundings. Our planet began to change. And it was us, humans, that started the spark for this change. Example of this is our planet, that is slowly heating up. We refer to this now as global warming. Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) emissions that are waste products produced by industrial plants, machineries, and appliances are rapidly building up in the atmosphere Accelerating the depletion of ozone in the Earth's atmosphere. As our ozone is depleting, the sun radiates more heat and this heat energy cannot bounce back to space because of the compounds that contaminate our atmosphere now acts as a blanket. And now, Earth is reacting to this and this sudden change in weather patterns around the world is the result of our interfering with the natural flow. We are dragging everything into the abyss, not only us humans, but also all animal and plant life. This is only one of the problems we created. They say that man is going to fall under his own demise. Are we just going to let that happen?
Technology and Science is only a tool for us, and it is not the cause of our problems. It is us, humans, that should think on how to effectively and efficiently use our resources and knowledge to create a different way, not to tread on the same way like what we have done for all these years. We must think of different options and adapt to this world that we created, not to destroy it further, but to restore what has been lost due to our irresponsible and selfish ways. We created a culture that proved efficient, and also destructive. What we can do now is to correct those mistakes that we've made. Begin to think of a different approach to science. The knowledge is there, and there are endless possibilities. We just have to take the responsibility and carve that path that lead us there.

Filipino Dialect:From Baler To The Entire Philippines

Luzon,Visayas and Mindanao. For all Filipinos, be proud!!But what is the significance in being a Filipino ?What is the use of our dialects?
I know, you know and we all know that we have lots of dialects in our country. In the northern part,we have Ilocano for the province of Ilocos Sur where I belong. We also have Ilonggo,Bicolano,Cebuano and many more.In Baler, from this topic represents no other than our "father of national language",President Manuel L. Quezon. He urged for a change in the country. He asked for one common language to penetrate deep into each one of us,from all regions of the Philipines. He believe that having one common language that everybody spoke of is the one thing we need to truly be at par and to realize our one common goal-to unite our country.
So if I were you,I will never say goodbye to my own dialect and never say die to our language.Instead,be proud and use to love because that is what a Filipino mean!!

HEALTH IS WEALTH

Everyone of us has a problem in our health. And sometimes its affects daily life.So we must be careful.
Going back in the past, there are only some diseases that came out but later on as the years goes by, it is already exploded. At present, we are already suffering different viruses like H1N1 virus that spread very fast but with the help of DOH( department of health), they use to prevent this kind of virus in many ways. So we must care for ourselves in order us to become a healthy person. Maybe you will ask, what we will do. Well, as far as I know, eating nutritious food is one of the best way and of course next in line is having excercise daily, eat balance diet and washing our hands properly.
So, what you gonna do? Let's do it, and make it a habit because health is wealth!!!!!
